Bomb alerts in the Republic of Moldova’s capital, before Romanian President's visit
Bomb alerts were triggered at two banks in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, on Tuesday morning, February 24, just hours before the visit of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis in the Moldavian capital.
According to the police, security guards of the two banks made a call on Tuesday morning and announced that there were bombs placed in the two banks, reports Unimedia.info.
Several police and bomb squad teams went to the sites while the employees were evacuated.
The Romanian President will be in Chisinau on Tuesday, February 24, and Wednesday, February 25, where he will meet with the Moldavian President, the country’s Prime Minister and leaders of main political parties.
