Bomb found on bus that was supposed to pass through Romania
The drivers of a Bulgarian bus that was supposed to pass through Romania found a homemade bomb in the luggage compartment.
The bus was on its way from Czech Republic’s capital Prague to Varna, in Bulgaria, and was supposed to pass through Romania. The drivers found the bomb during a stop in Hungary’s capital Budapest, as they felt a strong fuel smell inside the coach, according to Digi24 news station.
They found the bomb hidden in a bag and tied to a gasoline canister. The bomb squad defused the device, and the Hungarian police started an investigation to find out who put it there. The suspect apparently got off the bus in Budapest.
UPDATE: The bus was registered in Bulgaria, but its owner was a Romanian transport company, Omega Group, according to Mediafax. It had 34 passengers on board, including Romanians.
The Hungarian media wrote that the failed bomb attack might have been set up by ISIS terrorists.
