British Airways cancels several Bucharest – London flights due to strike
The daily British Airways flight from Bucharest to London and return has been canceled from Saturday to Wednesday, March 31, because of the British Airways employees' strike. BA is trying to carry 75 percent of the passengers, despite the strike, its representatives have said. BA could carry only 180,000 people out of the 240,000 people having bought tickets during the strike. The carrier has already transferred 18 percent of its passengers to other carriers, while some passengers managed to move their flight after the strike is over. BA is planning to work on all flights from Gatwick and London City airports. On Heathrow airport it will work on 70 percent of the long distance flights and on 55 percent of the short distance ones.
