British Ten Tors Orchestra to perform for the first time in Romania this November
British Ten Tors Orchestra, conducted by Simon Ible, will perform for the first time in Romania on November 22, starting 19:00 hours, at the Romanian Athenaeum in the capital city. The concert takes place during the second edition of the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) Chamber Season. Besides the British orchestra, Romanian artists like Ladislau Csendes, Alexandru Matei , and Sorin Rotaru will also go on stage.
The program of the event will include works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, John Ireland, Doina Rotaru, George Enescu and Edward Elgar.
Ten Tors Orchestra was founded in 1998 and is currently the resident ensemble of the Pensinsula Arts artistic program of the University of Plymouth in UK. Many of the most famous singers in the UK have played with Ten Tors Orchestra, artists like Dame Evelyn Glennie, Carlos Bonnell, John Anderson, Alan Opie, Mark Padmore, Jean Rigby, Leland Chen, Benjamin Frith, Andrew Kennedy, Alison Balsom. Also, the orchestra had concerts with the pianist Nikolai Demidenko, soprano Maria Ewing or baritone Jonathan Lemalu.
Tickets for this event can be purchased for RON 20, RON 25 and RON 25 from the Romanian Athenaeum.
