Bucharest airports general manager removed from office
The Bucharest Airport National Company’s board of directors dismissed Sorinel Ciobanu, the company’s general manager, on Friday.
He was removed from his office after failing to carry out the investment plan, reads a press release. The board drew the conclusion after analyzing the general manager’s activity report for the first year of his mandate.
Cosmin - Catalin Pestesan, one of the board members, will step in as interim general manager.
The Bucharest Airport National Company operates the Bucharest’s Henri Coanda (Otopeni) and the Baneasa airports. The company had a turnover of EUR 164 million in 2015, up by 14% compared to 2014, and a net profit of EUR 40 million, almost double compared to the previous year.
