Bucharest, among cheapest European cities for expats, study finds
Bucharest fell four places, ranking 74th in the 2011 edition of the top most expensive European city for expats, which includes 78 states, according to ECA International company. Worldwide, Bucharest has climbed three places, to 180.
Among the cities of Central and Eastern Europe, more expensive than Bucharest is Zagreb, that ranks 50th, Prague - 63rd, Sofia - 66th, Budapest - 69th, Warsaw - 70th and Belgrade that ranks 73th.
In Europe, the Norwegian capital Oslo is the city with the highest costs for expats and ranks second in the world in this regard, followed by Norway's Stavanger that ranks fourth in the world, and the Swiss city of Zurich, that occupies the sixth place in the world.
ECA International has rated 400 cities worldwide, the top being led by Tokyo. Among the five most expensive cities in the world, there are is still other two from Japan, Nagoya that ranked third, and Yokohama that occupied the fifth place.
