Bucharest hosts Festival of Francophone Students next week

Bucharest will host the fifth edition of the Festival of Francophone Students from Central and Oriental Europe organized by the Central and Eastern Europe Bureau (BECO) within the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).

The event will take place between April 11 and April 15, and will focus on promoting multilingualism and facilitating the use of French in a multicultural context.

The five editions organized in Romania gathered more than 300 Francophone students from 20 countries. This year, the festival will bring to Bucharest students from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Hungary.

The event’s program includes workshops on choreography, journalism and research, as well as conferences, competitions and traditional evenings.

The festival will end on April 15 with a gala organized at the Tinerimea Romana National Art Center in Bucharest.
