Bucharest hosts new edition of the International Light Festival in May
The second edition of the International Light Festival, Spotlight 2016, will take place in downtown Bucharest between May 5 and May 8.
The Calea Victoriei boulevard will shine in this period, between the Central University Library and Natiunile Unite Square. Besides the captivating shows of 15 art installations, the architectural lighting and the video mapping projections will transform the facades of several building on this route, such as the CEC building, the National Museum of History, and the Novotel Hotel.
Spotlight will also be present in other neighborhoods by lighting up some other iconic buildings such as the Fire Tower (Foisorul de Foc) and the Gheorghe Sincai National College.
This year, Spotlight is part of the program set up to support Bucharest’s candidacy for the 2021 European Capital of Culture title.
The whole program of the festival will soon be posted on the event’s webpage. The access to the event is free.
