The Bucharest metro company plans to award a contract for construction work on the Raul Doamnei-Eroilor metro section, part of the Drumul Taberei-Universitate line, and on Valea Ialomitei station, estimated at some RON 1 billion (or EUR 241 million).

The winning company will perform work on the track, but also finishes and partition work, transportation facilities for passengers, electric installations and electromechanical installations, reports local Mediafax.

The contract's duration is 16 months from the moment it will be awarded, and the participation guarantee if of RON 15 million (EUR 3.41 million). The deadline for submitting documentation is August 12.

Earlier this month, the European Commission approved an investment of EUR 409.5 million from the Regional Development Fund (FEDR) for the Eroilor-Drumul Taberei section of the Bucharest metro Line 5.
