Bucharest mayor wants to build proton therapy center in the city
Bucharest mayor Gabriela Firea said on Thursday, July 26, that a proton therapy center will be built in the city.
Proton therapy is a non-invasive method of treating cancer, which is used especially in the case of children. Firea said that such a center doesn’t currently exist anywhere in Southeastern Europe.
Bucharest General Council approved on Thursday the concept and location for this hospital unit.
