Bucharest public transport limited due to strike
Ground public transport in Bucharest has been limited after some of the employees of the Bucharest public transport company (RATB) have started a strike early this morning. The strike has not been announced in advance. Employees are asking for higher salaries and for a new collective work contract. Traffic has been affected in areas such as Floreasca, Pipera, Drumul Taberei and Nordului. Buses such as 101, 102, 103, 104, 181, 246, 301, 330, 311, 335, 682 were affected by the strike.
The alternative for ground transport in Bucharest is the metro network. The metro operator, Metrorex, said it will increase the number of trains during the day.
