Bucharest ranks 55th in Euromonitor’s top 100 city destinations
Bucharest ranks 55th in Euromonitor International’s ‘Top 100 city destinations ranking’, with around 2 million arrivals in 2010, and an increase of 5.4 percent compared to 2009. Romania’s capital city is followed by Aleppo, Munich and Marrakech.
Hong Kong, Singapore and London were the most popular city destinations worldwide. “Hong Kong topped the ranking with almost 20 million arrivals in 2010 and an outstanding 18 percent increase compared to 2009,” reads the Euromonitor statement. Singapore was the second most visited city, attracting 18 million tourists in 2010, followed closely by London, with 15 million arrivals.
