Rock the City, one of the biggest music festivals in Bucharest and the largest rock festival in Romania, was canceled this year due to “unexpected reasons” that didn’t depend on the organizers.

The 2017 edition of the festival, whose lineup included legendary band The Offspring, as well as Bullet For My Valentine, The Darkness, and Firma, was supposed to take place at Arenele Romane on August 27.

The Rock the City Festival has been organized in Bucharest for eight years.

“This year, we’re sorry to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, we can’t continue with the edition planned for August 27, 2017,” the organizers announced.

Those who have already bought tickets for the event can get their money back from the Eventim selling points from where they’ve purchased them. Those who bought the tickets online are asked to send an email to contact@eventim.ro.
