Bucharest SMEs issue 10 times more invoices than those in Cluj
The small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in Bucharest and Ilfov issued last year 45% of the total volume of invoices issued by SMEs at national level.
Bucharest accounted for a share of 36.4% whereas Ilfov had a share of 8.5%, according to an analysis by Smart Bill and Coface.
The firms in Cluj generated 3.65% of the total volume whereas the Timis-based small and medium sized companies accounted for 3.37% of the total volume. At the opposite end were the counties of Covasna (0.28%), Mehedinti (0.23%), and Caras-Severin (0.19%).
The SMEs in Bucharest also ranked first for the value of invoices issued last year, with 30.2% of the total value. They were followed by companies in Ilfov (6.74%), Timis (6.3%), Constanta (4.89%), and Cluj (4.12%).
Covasna (0.29%), Botosani (0.18%), and Mehedinti (0.12%) ranked last based on the value of invoices issued last year.
