Bucharest hosts street food carnival this week

05 September 2017

The Bucharest Street Food Carnival takes place between September 7 and September 10 in Bucharest, at Romexpo.

The event is expected to bring together hundreds of street chefs from all over the country, the most popular food trucks in Romania, and plenty of local and international artists. It will feature three stages dedicated to street artists from all over Europe, culinary demonstrations and areas for various entertainment and relaxation activities.

The event had a preview in the form of a food trucks parade taking place on September 5. The parade started on the Kiseleff boulevard and ended at Romexpo.

One of the artists set to perform at the event is Dario Rossi, one of the best known drummers in the world for his unique performances. His 2011 London performance saw him bring for the first time in the street his set composed by recycled items, just for a performing experiment. He immediately brought in a crowd wanting to see him perform in Piccadilly Circus. Rossi is currently working at his first official Ep which will be released in 2017.

The carnival has free entrance between 12:00 and 15:00. One-day tickets and passes, priced RON 17 to RON 42, can be purchased here.
