Bucharest’s largest photography festival starts today
Photographers from Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Moldova, Spain, Ukraine, and the US will come to the second edition of Bucharest Photo Week, the largest photography festival in Romania’s capital. The event starts today, September 7. Its program includes more than 45 events, such as exhibitions and workshops.
Within the event, 50 photos awarded at Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA) 2015 will be on display at the Romanian Peasant Museum between September 7 and September 16. Among them, photos from the Camera intima (Intimate room) series belonging to Romanian Cosmin Bumbut, Photo of the Year winner in the competition’s Architecture section. His work comprises photos taken in 35 prisons in Romania.
Visitors will also have the chance to see Auras Mihaiu’s Alesul Oilor (Choosing of the Sheep) photo, Romania National Award winner.
The theme of this year’s edition of Bucharest Photo Week is Travel. The event will end on September 16.
