C&A to open store in Botosani's Family Center in April

Fashion retailer C&A will open a 1,200 sqm store in Family Center Botosani in April this year, according to Oasis Development, the developers of the project. The shopping center, which is already running, is thus fully let. The center was opened in November last year, following a EUR 7 million investment. C&A joins other tenants like Kaufland, Plus (Lidl), Takko, Deichman, Carmolimp, Animax, Altex and Flanco, which spread on 6,200 sqm in total.

Oasis Development will this spring start works on its EUR 50 million Prima Shopping Center project in Oradea and has already leased half of the center. The mall will be located on the premises of the Infratirea factory and will cover 24,000 sqm of built area. The first phase of the project is expected to be finalized by the end of 2012. The developer plans to build over 10 malls and retail parks in Romania over the next three years.

Oasis Development has teamed up with Kaufland and Plus- the latter acquired by Lidl last year- and has developed over 50 centers for the two retailers since 2002. Oasis Development was created by Sibiu businessmen Klaus Reisenauer and Kurt Wagner.

C&A opened the first store in Romania in April 2009, within Militari Shopping Center in Bucharest.
