The Imperial Hotel, Bristol Hotel or Metropol Hotel, Brancoveanu Palace, The Grand Theatre, Vacaresti Monastery, Saint Sava Monastery – these are some of the lost places of Bucharest. One of the stories you will learn is that of the Grand Theater, which, mid 19th century, used to stand on the same spot where the Novotel hotel currently stands on Victoriei avenue in Bucharest. The hotel's facade reminds of the former theater, which was destroyed during World War II.
