Car upholstery factory in Romania kicks off production
French car parts producer Faurecia will start the production in its new factory in Budesti, near Ramnicu Valcea, this week.
The plant will produce automotive upholstery, following an investment of EUR 12 million.
The factory was built on 4-ha plot, owned by the French company. The production will start with 1,000 people, reports local Ziarul Financiar. The village Budesti has about 7,000 inhabitants.
Faurecia also has factories in Pitesti, Craiova, and Talmaciu in Sibiu county. The group’s local factories had EUR 62 million in sales in 2014.
