Cargill appoints Martin Schuldt GM for Romanian operations
Cargill has appointed Martin Schuldt as its new country representative in Romania. Schuldt has been living and working in Romania since 2005 and currently leads the company's grain and oilseeds operations in the country. He takes over the role of Romanian country representative from Nese Tagma, who has taken up a new position based in Belgium to manage Cargill's European bottled oils operations.
"We see Romania as having great potential in the food and agriculture sectors from a regional, European perspective. Since commencing our grain and oilseed business here in 1996, we have made significant investments in grain silos, vegetable oil refining and bottling and animal nutrition production. We believe that we play an important role in contributing to Romanian agriculture and in helping open up new markets for local farmers," said Schuldt.
Cargill has been active in Romania since 1996. It is headquartered in Bucharest and now has around 750 employees, in 21 locations in the country. The company has activities in grains and oilseeds, bottled and refined oils and animal nutrition. Its most well known brand is Untdelemn de la Bunica.
