Cargus, one of the largest internal courier companies in Romania, recently took over the customer database of Otto Curier.

According to an announcement posted on Otto Curier’s website, “as a result of the strategic partnership concluded between Cargus and Otto Curier, starting with July 14, 2014, the customer database was taken over by Cargus”.

A the request of local publication Hotnews.ro, representatives of Cargus International said all clients of Otto Curier were taken over by Cargus. “The fleet was not taken over, only the contracts of Otto’s clients,” said the representatives.

In June this year, private equity firm Abris Capital Partners, which owns Cargus, announced the acquisition of another Romanian courier services provider, Urgent Curier. Abris Capital Partners buys Romanian Urgent Curier.

Cargus posted a turnover of some EUR 25.8 million in 2013, up 20 percent year-on-year.
