12 April 2016

A total of 30 museums and castles from five countries will present their offers at the second edition of the European Castles Fair in Romania. The event will take place on May 14-15 at Corvinilor Castle in Hunedoara.

Most exhibitors will be from Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Poland, and Hungary, according to Corvinilor Castle manager Costin Tinca, reports local Agerpres.

Some of the Romanian museums and castles to take part in the event are Peles Castle, Pelisor Castle, Bran Castle, Suceava Citadel, Fagaras Fortress, Sighisoara's Clock Tower, Sibiu's Brukenthal Museum, Deva Citadel, Deva Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization, and Sarmizegetusa Regia.

Visitors will enjoy a medieval atmosphere at the event, created with the help of knights and princesses. The event’s program also includes painting workshops and a classical music concert.

The first edition of the fair was organized in early May last year and attracted some 11,000 visitors.

Travel planner: Hunedoara’s “fairy tale” castle is worth the trek or detour.

Castles in Romania that take visitors back in time.
