Canadian group expands plant in Western Romania

Canadian group Celestica International, a supplier of electronic components for Alcatel, HP, Honeywell or NEC, has expanded the production capacity and the office area of its plant in Bors, Bihor county, by 9,000 sqm, reports Profit.ro.
The company decided to increase the plant’s area because its customer base in Romania has increased. The local plant was inaugurated in 2004.
The Canadian group has a total turnover of over USD 6 billion. It owns 40 factories in 20 countries, with about 43,000 employees. It produces equipment for Alcatel Lucent, HP, Honeywell and NEC.
The Romanian subsidiary had close to 1,000 employees and a turnover of EUR 256 million in 2016.
