Ceramic tiles producer starts green project in Romania with Norwegian funds

Ceramic tiles producer Sanex has started a green project worth almost EUR 1.4 million, co-financed with funds from the Norwegian Government.

The company aims to streamline the drying process in the plant from Cluj, by acquiring an atomizer. The project benefits of EUR 690,000 in non-reimbursable funds and will be implemented over a year.

Sanex, which is part of the Austrian group Lasselsberger, plans to invest some EUR 12.5 million in the next 2 years in upgrading production lines in its Cluj factory. The investment would lead to a 50% increase in production volume.

In 2014, the company posted a turnover of EUR 30 million. It sold some 7 million sqm of ceramic tiles.
