CEZ operating profit drops in nine months in Romania

13 November 2014

Czech energy group CEZ reported an operating profit of CZK 3 billion (some EUR 109 million) in Romania in the first nine months, down 6.25% year-on-year. The drop was mainly caused by suspending green certificates allocations for the Fantanele Vest wind farm, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The Czech group owns Fantanele (with an installed capacity of 347.5 MW) and Cogealac (252.5 MW) parks in Romania, as well as series of micro hydropower plants with a total capacity of 18 MW.

On the manufacturing and trading segment, the group registered an EBITDA profit of CZK 1 billion (around EUR 36 million) in the first nine months, down to half year-on-year.
