Cinema operator Cinema City will open its second multiplex cinema in Bucharest this Friday (June 18) in Sun Plaza shopping center. The megaplex feature 15 screens, among which one for 3D movies and expands over 5,000 sqm. The new cinema has a capacity of 2,800 seats. Cinema City also runs a multiplex cinema in AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping center, as well as cinemas in Iasi, Timisoara, Cluj, Bacau and Pitesti.

Sun Plaza shopping center was finalized in February this year, following a EUR 200 million investment. The shopping center has recently inaugurated an underground tunnel which connects the mall to the Sudului Square metro station. The shopping center was developed by Euro Mediterranee Consulting (EMCT) and Sparkassen Immobilien.
