CNN gives readers nine reasons to visit Bucharest

17 May 2017

American television news channel CNN has published on its website a list of nine reasons people should visit Bucharest, with the Old Town and the famous Palace of the Parliament being among them.

Tourists visiting the Romanian capital should also see the beautiful Stavropoleos Church, the Old Princely Court, the open-air Village Museum, its parks Herastrau and Cismigiu, and Cartuesti Carusel bookshop. Moreover, they should also enjoy a concert of the Romanian George Enescu Philharmonic at the beautiful Romanian Athenaeum, according to CNN.

“The days of being known as the "Little Paris of the East" may be long gone, but that doesn't mean Bucharest's glory days are gone, too. The Romanian capital continues to redefine itself, merging its storied history with a modern identity. At first glance, the architecture is dizzying, but it's a fascinating mix,” writes the CNN journalist.
