Coca-Cola inaugurates new bottling line in Romania with EUR 22 mln investment
Coca-Cola HBC Romania has opened a new bottling line for its Cappy Pulpy brand at its plant in Ploiesti, Romania, following a total investment of EUR 22 million. The production line has a capacity of up to 36,000 bottles per hour.
Muhtar Kent, President and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, together with Dimitris Lois, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC AG and Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta attended the inauguration of the new bottling line.
“The Ploiesti bottling plant, the largest in Southeastern Europe, is to Coca-Cola HBC a real center of investments in technological innovations,” said Dimitris Lois.
Coca-Cola invested for the first time in Romania in 1991 and currently has over 1,800 employees across the country.
In Romania, Coca-Cola HBC bottles the products in its portfolio in three factories and distributes them to the over 64,000 customers across the country, through a network of 20 warehouses and distribution centers.
Cappy Pulpy is a soft drink with a high content of fruit pulp, currently available in two flavors, namely orange and grapefruit.
