The Code Red for flooding was extended to rivers in seven counties, until Friday. This covers rivers in Olt, Teleorman, Arges, Valcea, Caras Severin, Mehedinti and Dolj. Meanwhile, other rivers in the same counties are under Code Orange until Friday at noon.

Meteorologists also warn of extreme hydro phenomena starting today on the rivers Bistra, Cerna, Drincea, Desnatui, Jiu and Olt tributary rivers in the same counties.
