Companies in Romania have to upgrade their cash registers
Companies in Romania which use cash registers have to replace them with new ones that have an electronic memory by November 2017, said Public Finance Minister Anca Dragu. The measure is aimed at reducing tax evasion.
“It is a modernization process which runs at the same time with the Tax Agency’s ANAF modernization process,” she added, reports local Mediafax.
Companies have more than one year to replace the cash registers.
“We didn’t want to pressure tax contributors, companies,” the minister said.
The new cash registers will be connected to the Tax Agency ANAF. This will reduce bureaucracy and will increase transparency in operations.
