Complaints against banks keep pouring in Romania

22 September 2015

Romania’s National Authority for Protection (ANPC) receives up to 100 complaints against banks a day, said Marius Dunca, ANPC president. Banks should come up with concrete solutions to reduce the burden on borrowers who have problems in repaying loans.

“Our aim, as an institution, is not to give fines, but to find amicable solutions,” said Dunca, cited by local Capital.ro.

The dissatisfied customers form a large community, which is also active in social media, he added. Banks should regain consumers’ trust, by providing clear, transparent and easy-to-understand contracts.
