Concession agreements to extend for 16 years in Romania after gas discovery
The National Agency for Mineral Resources (ANRM) has asked the Government to extend by 16 years, until 2030, nine concession agreements concluded with the state company Romgaz Medias (SNG), after the gas producer had discovered new hydrocarbon resources, reports local Mediafax.
The company found these new resources in the Bozed Vest, Corunca Nord, Sincai perimeters (Mures county), Cusmed area (Harghita county), Enciu area (Bistrita Nasaud county), Gaiceana, Glavanesti perimeters (Bacau county), Tamasesti (Gorj county), Vladeni (Dambovita county).
The agreements are concluded between ANRM and the oil companies, but they must be approved by the Government to enter into force. ANRM did not specify how much hydrocarbon was discovered in those perimeters.
