Amsterdam-based management and technology consultancy BearingPoint said it was reorganizing in the Central Continental Europe region to ensure further sustainable growth and allow for greater focus on innovation and globalization. At the same time, the firm is targeting EUR 1 billion in revenue by 2020.

With the reorganization, the firm is dividing the Central Continental Europe region, which saw especially strong development, into two new regions: GCR (Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania) and SIA (Switzerland, Italy, Austria).

It also appointed three new regional leaders. Iris Grewe, a Swiss Partner in Financial Services with a focus on banking and capital markets, joined the global Management Committee of BearingPoint as leader of the SIA region. Kiumars Hamidian took over the GCR lead in addition to his role as Service Line leader in the global Management Committee. Marcel Nickler, the former head of the Central Europe region, took over the responsibility for the firm’s development and globalization efforts.

The firm’s Central Continental Europe region has grown by 35% since 2012, BearingPoint said. The firm had EUR 563 million in revenue in 2015, according to its 2015 Annual Report. The firm’s gross profit in Romania went up by almost 30% in 2015 compared to 2014, according to BearingPoint data. In Romania, BearingPoint has offices in Bucharest, Sibiu and Timisoara.

Over the past three years BearingPoint established presences in China, the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, the UAE and the US. It established alliance partnerships with West Monroe Partners in North America, Grupo ASSA in South America and ABeam in Asia. Its global consulting network of more than 10,000 people serves clients in over 75 countries.
