Continental gives EUR 9 mln of its profit to Romanian employees
German car parts producer Continental will distribute EUR 600 to each of its eligible employees in Romania from last year’s profit.
The profit bonus for employees it 20% higher compared to last year. The group has some 15,000 employees in Romania, which means it will pay some EUR 9 million to its local employees.
Globally, Continental will distribute EUR 150 million to its employees from last year’s profit. The group has over 200,000 employees worldwide.
The group posted a turnover of EUR 39.2 billion in the 2015 financial year, up by 13.7% over the previous year. The gross profit totaled EUR 4.3 billion, up by 13.1% compared to 2014.
Continental has eight production units and three research & development centers in Romania, in Timisoara, Sibiu, Carei, Nadab, Brasov, and Iasi.
