Cora expands online services to six new cities in Romania
French retailer Cora wants to provide online services in six other cities where the company is active, besides Bucharest.
In the capital, the retailer already provides drive and home-delivery services. Customers can order online and either pick up their products at the drive-in units or have their products delivered at home for a fee.
Cora has been testing the online market since 2013, when it launched the first drive-in store in Romania. The retailer now has a drive service in each of its four hypermarkets in Bucharest.
By providing online services in Constanta, Cluj, Ploiesti, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Bacau, Baia Mare, Cora tries to increase its market share, reports local Economica.net. The retailer even ponders the idea of launching online services in cities where it doesn’t have a hypermarket.
In total, Cora has 11 hypermarkets in Romania. The company is part of Belgian Louis Delhaize group.
