Romania adds more than 1,300 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, total exceeds 91,000
Romania reported 1,365 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the total to 91,256 on Thursday, September 3, according to the daily report released at 13:00.
Separately, 751 patients retested positive for Covid-19.
Of the total cases, 39,275 patients recovered, while 11,619 asymptomatic patients were discharged ten days after the diagnosis.
At the same time, 44 coronavirus patients died in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 3,765 since the start of the pandemic.
Of those who passed away in the past 24 hours, two were aged between 40 and 49; eight were aged between 50 and 59; 15 were aged between 60 and 69; eight between 70 and 79; and 11 were over 80 years old. Forty-three of them had previous medical conditions.
Meanwhile, 503 patients were admitted to intensive care units, from a total of 7,288 coronavirus patients admitted to hospitals in the country.
At a national level, 1,876,063 tests were carried out by September 3, 23,973 of them in the last 24 hours.
Furthermore, 9,655 people who tested positive for Covid-19 were isolating at home, while 5,988 were under institutionalized isolation. Another 34,217 people were under quarantine at home, while 45 were under institutionalized quarantine.
