Current absorption rate of EU funds amounts to over 34% in Romania
The current absorption rate of EU funds amounted to over 34 percent in Romania as of March 21, according to information posted on the Ministry of European Funds’ website.
“The value of the expenditure statements submitted to the European Commission is of EUR 6.5billion, which means a current absorption of 34.25 percent of the EU allocation,” reads the document presenting the situation at March 21.
According to the document, Romania received from the European Commission the total amount of EUR 8.55 billion, representing 44.51 percent of the 2007-2013 allocation.
Of these funds, the interim reimbursed payments amount to EUR 6.44 billion, namely 33.55 percent of the allocation.
