Cyprus-based group sells EUR 20 mln shopping center in Romania to Auchan
Real-estate rental company Rolast (RLS) has sold to the French retailer Auchan a shopping center in Pitesti, which hosts the hypermarket Auchan Gavana (the former Real store), for EUR 20 million, reports local Wall-street.ro. The price is EUR 1 million higher than the offer submitted by the French retailer in May.
The transaction does not include the DIY store previously occupied by the German retailer OBI.
Rolast is controlled by Naniero Investments Limited, registered in Cyprus, which owns a 51.76% stake.Bucharest-based company Mir Asset Management Bucharest has an 18.48% stake, while the Romanian Investment Fund, registered in Cyprus, owns 16.93% of the shares.
Auchan operates 32 hypermarkets in 18 cities across Romania and is currently building a shopping center in Brasov.
