Czech director Jiri Menzel to present his films in Bucharest this week
Jiri Menzel (in picture), the Oscar-winning director and legend of the Czech cinema will come to Bucharest to present his films during the retrospective organized by the Czech Centre, between May 16-19 at Cinema Studio (29, Gheorge Magheru Blvd).
During this event the public will have the chance to see films directed by Jiri Menzel, like “The Death of Mr Baltazar” (1965), “I Served the King of England” (2006), “Pearls of the Deep” (1965), “Closely Watched Trains” (1966), “Capricious Summer” (1968), “Larks on a String” (1969) and “The End of Old Times” (1989). The movies will have both English and Romanian subtitles.
The tickets for a screening, including the opening night, will be available for RON 8 while passes for four screenings will be sold at Cinema Studio for RON 24. More about this event.
