Fortuna Entertainment Group, a Czech operator licensed in sports betting and gambling with operations in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, acquired the Irish group Hattrick Sports Group, which owns the biggest sportsbook network in Romania, Casa Pariurilor.

Serious Bet SRL, the Romanian firm that operates the Casa Pariurilor sportsbook network, reached a turnover of EUR 38 million and a net profit of EUR 3.27 million, in 2015, according to data from the Finance Ministry. The company had almost 1,700 employees in 2015.

Hattrick Sports Group also owns of the second largest bookmaker in Croatia, PSK. The Czech group will be the single stakeholder in Hattrick.

Fortuna plans to become the largest operator of licensed sports betting and gambling in Central and Southeast Europe. The group was founded in 2009 and is listed on the Prague Stock Exchange and Warsaw Stock Exchange.
