Czech group acquires Romanian price comparison website from Naspers
South-African investment fund Naspers has sold the Romanian price comparison platform Compari.ro to the Czech group Rockaway, with the financial help offered by another Czech group called PPF Group, reports local Profit.ro.
Rockaway acquired the comparison sites Compari.ro in Romania, Arukereso.hu in Hungary, and Pazaruvaj.com in Bulgaria.
Prague-headquartered Rockaway is owned by the Czech investors Daniel Kretinsky and Patrik Tkac, who have businesses mostly in energy. They own a stake of 37% in Energeticky a prumyslovy holding (EPH), one of the most important companies in the field.
The comparison site Heureka, also owned by Rockaway, is the leader on the Czech and Slovak markets.
