Renault increases first quarter output at Romanian factory

The Dacia car plant in Mioveni, in Central – South Romania, manufactured over 85,000 cars in the first three months of the year, up 2.17% on the same period of 2017, according to data from the Romanian Carmakers Association.

The bulk of these cars were Dacia Duster models, with over 53,000 units, followed by the Dacia Sandero model – 14,300 cars, Dacia Logan, with 9,300 units and Dacia Logan MCV, some 7,800 cars. The plant also manufactured 12,100 semi-assembled car bodies, which are sent to Renault’s Algerian factory.

Dacia, owned by Renault, produces cars in Romania and Morocco.
