Dane robbed by alleged friends in Romania
A Danish citizen was robbed last week in Bucharest, while he was having drinks with his Romanian friends. The 42-year old Alfred Rasmusen was having drinks with his friends in their apartment in Sector 5 in Bucharest when a group of masked men entered the apartment, pretending to be policemen. The robbers took his EUR 15,000 watch and a ring which was worth over EUR 30,000.
The Dane thinks his Romanian friends and those who robbed him were working together, as two of them went out at some point, and returned after the robbery had taken place. Moreover, nothing happened to the other people in the room, he was the only one robbed. “I have been in Romania for two weeks, the hosts were my friends, some of them I met two weeks ago, others I've known for four years. It is the first time I partied with them, we spent New Year's Eve together,” said Rasmusen.
The Police found four suspects and are currently searching for the fifth, who has been identified, but is yet to be taken in. The five men decided to rob the Dane, so three of them, who knew the foreigner, invited him to the party, where they were planing to drink and take drugs.
