Romanian babywear producer opens its first shop abroad, in Germany
Romanian babywear producer Danina Line recently opened its first shop abroad, in the German town of Speyer, on the Rhine River. The company also has nine shops in Romania under the brand Nan by Danina Line.
Danina Line is a babywear manufacturer located in Vaslui county, one of Romania’s poorest regions but well-known for its tradition in the confections industry. Local entrepreneur Danina Ilisei founded the company in 2007.
In just eight years, the Nan by Danina Line baby clothes have become very popular in Romania, where the market that is still dominated by imports from China.
Danina Line had a turnover of EUR 3.16 million in 2014, 15% higher than in 2013, according to official data. The company had over 200 employees.
