Danish group completes EUR 1.6 mln investments in pig farms in Romania
Premium Porc, the second-biggest pork producer in Romania, part of Danish group DCH International, has completed a EUR 1.6 million investment in acquiring and modernizing two pig farms in Eastern Romania.
At the end of 2019, Premium Porc bought the Ianca farm complex in Braila county. The company carried out several investments to revamp and modernize the complex in the first half of this year.
The farms cover an area of 25 hectares and will increase the company’s production capacity in Romania to 600,000 pigs.
“The acquisition of the Ianca complex represents a step forward for the Premium Porc Group and a proof of our promise: we are growing in Romania. In almost 15 years of activity we have increased the production capacity each year, and we have reached a number of 10 own farms following total investments of over EUR 181 million. Our plans do not stop here. We will continue to develop the business in Romania, together with a dedicated and professional team,” said Sergiu Claudiu Mititelu, Country Manager of Premium Porc Group.
