“We want a medical team capable of increasing the survival rate of a child with cancer from 50% to 70-80% in 10 years,” she also said, adding that the NGO is looking for “visionary people, working people” who “together can change the face of pediatric oncology in Romania.”

“We are looking for oncologists and radiotherapists who believe in their power to change the world. […] We are looking for well-trained medical personnel to save lives. We will be together in this hard fight,” the same post reads.

The Daruieste Viata Association, founded by Oana Gheorghiu and Carmen Uscatu, initiated the project of building a hospital for children with cancer in 2015.
