French sports retailer Decathlon will open its fifth store in Romania, within Grand Arena Mall in Bucharest. The new store will cover 5,550 sqm. This is also the retailer's second store in Bucharest, after the first one opened in the Militari area, West of Bucharest. Decathlon runs sports stores in Brasov, Iasi and Cluj- Napoca. The company entered the Romanian market in 2009.

The retailer has also announced its plans to open a store in Maritimo Shopping Center in Constanta next year. Decathlon was created in 1976 in France. It currently runs over 400 stores in 15 countries.
