Deloitte gets EUR 1.7 mln state aid to create 650 jobs in Romania
Tax consultancy Deloitte has been approved a state aid of about EUR 1.7 million for an investment that would create 650 jobs, according to information on the mfinante.ro website, cited by local Ziarul Financiar.
The company that has asked for the state aid is called Deloitte Tehnologie and was set up in May this year. It provides services in information technology and plans to open a service center.
Deloitte had asked for state aid for the new project this summer, but the project was rejected in the first attribution round in July. However, the new list published on Wednesday this week by the Finance Ministry shows that Deloitte now has the biggest score.
The Finance Ministry has approved 14 projects that have asked for state aid of EUR 10 million. The projects are expected to create 1,875 jobs.
Deloitte Tehnologie is controlled via two Cyprus-based companies.
