Deloitte: Marketing & advertising impact a third of Romania’s economy

Romania’s marketing and advertising market, which is estimated at some EUR 0.5 billion, impacts about a third of the country’s economy, found a recent study by Deloitte, quoted by Hotnews.ro.

The study, created this summer based on interviews with decisions makers in small, medium and large companies in Romania, as well as with representatives of the main TV stations, shows a third of those interviewed believe the TV is the most efficient advertising channel.

Less than a quarter – 23% - said digital and online, for its immediate and measurable results, while 18% of the respondents mentioned social media, which can attract large numbers of people at a low cost. The main industries that spend on advertising in Romania are the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) – 57% of the market, followed by pharma – 17%, and telecom – 13%.
