De'Longhi builds its third espresso machines factory in Romania with EUR 28 mln
Italian home appliance manufacturer De'Longhi has bought a plant in Satu Mare, where it plans to develop its third espresso machines factory in Romania.
The company will invest about EUR 28 mln to develop the new factory, half of which is state aid "dedicated to automation, digitisation, technology upgrade," according to official data quoted by Ziarul Financiar. 375 people will be hired for this project.
The company's other local production units are located at Jucu in Cluj and Salonta in Bihor.
"In February 2022, De'Longhi Romania bought a plant in Satu Mare. There was no company active there. It is a 50,000 sqm industrial building that we are now preparing so that production at the new plant can begin in 2023. The factory will produce automatic coffee machines under the De'Longhi brand," said Carmen Petcu, general manager of De'Longhi.
